Chocolate Aided Design
"There is no need to learn 3D-printing, but a lot to learn about how to digitally work with materials." In a workshop on "3D-printing and emotive materials", students created novel material experiences in chocolate using digital fabrication technologies. Analog methods helped establishing a new understanding about a material that seems to be so familiar with everyone. Simultaneously, the experimental and playful approach raised an awareness for the irks and quirks of 3D-printing even before getting hands-on.
